OPERATIONS RESULTS OF KUIBYSHEVAZOT PJSC FOR 9 MONTHS OF 2021

Compared with the indicators for the same period in 2020 the main products output was:

- ammonia (taking into account the output of JV Linde Azot Togliatti LLC) – 838,4 thousand tons (107,7 %);

- ammonium nitrate – 530,7 thousand tons (95,8 %);

- urea – 266 thousand tons (107,9 %);

- ammonium sulphate – 383.5 thousand tons (111,2 %);

- UAN – 206 thousand tons (103,5 %)

- caprolactam – 152,8 thousand tons (108,6 %);

- polyamide-6 – 130,7 thousand tons (130,3 %);

- polyamide yarn – 5,1 thousand tons (154,6 %);

- dipped cord fabric – 14,7 million linear meters (141,1%).

The enterprise continues its active phase of implementation of investment projects that ensure the effective growth of the Company and sustainable development.

 In August 2021 the new production of complex fertilizer – ammonium sulphate-nitrate – based on the technology of CFI company (Singapore) was started. Project investments amounted to 4.3 billion rubles. There are no analogues of the technology applied in Russia, and new fertilizer is characterized by improved physical and chemical properties. It simultaneously supplies plants with nitrogen, sulfur and trace nutrients, allowing for more efficient crop production. It is especially in demand in regions where there is a lack of sulfur in soils. 

In partnership with the Italian concern Maire Tecnimont Group, the construction of a new granulated urea plant continues. The project provides for the use of advanced technologies that ensure environmentally friendly and safe production. It is expected that following the implementation, the Company will achieve a reduction in CO2 emissions that cause the greenhouse effect by 390 thousand tons/year.

  The construction of the second stage of the storm water treatment facilities of the Northern industrial hub and part of the Togliatti Central District is continued. The project is being implemented at the expense of PJSC KuibyshevAzot’s own funds. The total investment is estimated at 1.5 billion rubles. The commissioning of the facility will make a significant contribution to solving the environmental problems of the Volga basin – an expected reduction of 10,5 million cubic meters per year of contaminated waste water.

 At the production of ammonium nitrate, a new granulation and evaporation plant is under construction. The project aims to reduce emissions.Moreover, preparatory works are in progress for the implementation of the second phase of the project – the construction of a new weak nitric acid unit.

This year the enterprise took an active part in the formation of mechanisms for the availability of mineral fertilizers for domestic agricultural producers. Taking into account the current needs of Russian farmers, the Company decided to support the domestic agro-industrial complex and fix fertilizer prices until the end of 2021.

 According to the AK&M Information Agency the enterprise entered the Top 5 Rating for Social Efficiency among the largest Russian companies in September. KuibyshevAzot took the second place among top five companies of the chemical industry that pay close attention to environmental issues, and the fourth place among the companies that made the greatest contribution to the development of the nation state and the society.

All the prospective projects being implemented by the enterprise are aimed at reducing the consumption of raw materials, of heat and energy resources, mitigating the impact of production on the environment, as well as at retaining the Company’s market positions.

For the 9 month of 2021, KuibyshevAzot PJSC invested 6 billion rubles in the development of the company’s production and the renewal of the existing equipment.
