KuibyshevAzot summed up preliminary operating results for 2019

In 2019, KuibyshevAzot PJSC continued to implement ongoing and promising projects. Maximum output was achieved for many products – ammonium nitrate, urea, nitric acid, caprolactam, ammonium sulphate, cyclohexanone, UAN. However, despite the fact that production volumes remained at the level of 2018 the financial indicators of the enterprise decreased due to deterioration of prices for ammonia, caprolactam and its derivatives, as well as outrunning growth in energy prices in 2019. Revenue amounted to 53.9 billion rubles, net profit - 4 billion rubles.

In 2019, a significant amount of work was carried out for the construction of new and retrofitting of existing production facilities. Commissioning works are underway at ammonium sulfate-nitrate production site and the second nitric acid line. Construction of the new urea plant in cooperation with Maire Tecnimont Group (Italy) is continued. Implementation of the project involving the application of advanced technologies has entered into an active phase.

In 2019, VEB.RF (state development corporation), Gazprombank and KuibyshevAzot PJSC signed a loan agreement on provision of a syndicated loan to finance the construction of improved sulfuric acid and oleum production facility under the Project Finance Factory program. As part of the project, a large amount of construction and installation work at the production site in Togliatti has been already completed. In addition, a whole range of measures has been carried out to modernize and revamp the existing equipment, including the second caprolactam and the fourth polyamide-6 production lines.

In total, 8.9 billion rubles were allocated for construction and retrofitting in 2019, the overhaul of factory facilities amounted 2.2 billion rubles. Therefore, 11.1 billion rubles were allocated for the Company’s development.

As a result of the constant equipment upgrading, the introduction of advanced technologies, it was possible to achieve a significant reduction in the specific consumption of raw materials and resources per ton of product (natural gas - by 1%, benzene by 3%, heat energy by 4%, caustic soda by 2.6%, river water by 6.1%).

According to RAEX rating agency, KuibyshevAzot PJSC took the 11^th place in the ranking of business leaders in terms of energy efficiency among Russian industrial enterprises.

The Company pays special attention to environmental projects and environmental protection measures. Construction of storm water treatment facilities for the enterprises of the Northern industrial hub and part of Central District of Togliatti is in progress. The project is implemented at the expense of the enterprise and is included in the federal program “Clean Volga”. A large amount of work has been carried out on technical modernization and reduction of the environmental impact at the nitric acid and urea productions. Atmospheric emissions have been reduced by 10%.

KuibyshevAzot PJSC by decision of social expert commission has been declared a winner of the XV anniversary All-Russian contest “Leader of Environmental Protection in Russia – 2019” in the nomination “For Environmental Responsibility”.

In 2019, Company received a confirmation of the compliance of its integrated management system with the requirements of international standards in the field of quality, environmental and industrial safety, labor protection.

KuibyshevAzot PJSC has been recognized as one of the leaders of “Ranking of Sustainable Development - 100” compiled by the Expert magazine. KuibyshevAzot PJSC took 18^th place among 100 of best Russian companies. Company paid 2.6 billion rubles to the budgets of various levels in the form of taxes and insurance contributions.

Company actively participates in the development of its territory of presence. In the city of Togliatti and the Samara region the social and charitable projects oriented at residents of the city and the region are implemented. KuibyshevAzot PJSC takes an active part in reforestation, elimination of unauthorized landfills, improvement of urban areas and other environmental programs.

AK&M news agency included the Company in the TOP-15 of the social performance rating of the largest Russian companies, which bring the maximum benefit to society with minimal impact on the environment.
