KuibyshevAzot PJSC became a winner of All-Russian Contest

KuibyshevAzot PJSC by decision of social expert commission was declared as a winner of XV Jubilee All-Russian Contest “Leader of Environmental Protection in Russia – 2019” in nomination of “For environmental responsibility”.

Award Ceremony was held in Moscow during the 8^th international forum “Human Health and Ecology – 2019”, supported by Council of the Federation Committee on Economic Policy, Ministry of Health of the RF and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF.

Such a high performance evaluation is essential for the whole personnel, since environment conservation and protection activities are one of the main tasks for KuibyshevAzot PJSC development strategy which are executed on ongoing basis. For the purpose much activities such as implementation of low-waste and resource-saving technologies, upgrade of equipment and production sites renovation are to be accomplished.

Over the past five years, investments in the production development and equipment upgrade amounted to 44.3 billion rubles. More than 10 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes in 2019.

Any stage - from development to implementation - of every project introduced within the enterprise is executed considering ecological component. This explains why KuibyshevAzot PJSC based on the ratings of the Interfax-ERA agency was being recognized as a leader of environmental transparency in chemical industry for the period from 2016 to 2018.

Significant results are achieved thanks to a systematic approach to environmental protection. For the period from 2000 to 2018 with a 2.4-fold growth of marketable products volume, KuibyshevAzot recorded a 1.7-fold decrease in chemically contaminated effluents, 1.8-fold decrease in specific emissions, electricity consumption per ton of products and river water consumption, and 1.6-fold reduction in heat consumption.

Ecological projects are of federal importance as well. For example, project of storm water treatment facilities for the enterprises of the Northern industrial hub and part of Central District of Togliatti was included into Federal Program “Clean Volga”. In addition, PJSC KuibyshevAzot participates in the acquisition of a mobile environmental laboratory for the comprehensive determination of atmospheric air composition in the city of Togliatti, as well as in financing research on the qualitative composition of atmospheric air.
